Human Rights in Islam حقوق الانسان في الاسلام
تأليف محمد علي الخولي
عن الكتاب
This book is about human rights in Islam. It has often been wrongly thought that human rights were first established by the UN Declaration of Human Rights in 1945. However, this is not the case at all. Human rights were declared and established by Islam fourteen centuries ago. Not only that, but such rights were honestly and sincerely observed by most Muslims most of the time. Islam has specifically established man’s right to living in dignity, protecting civilians during war, safeguarding captives’ rights, the right to a fair trial, the right to equality, the right to freedom of worship, the right to freedom, the right to individual property, the right to home privacy, the right to the freedom of expression, the right to learning, the right to the freedom of belief, and the right to founding and joining benevolent societies. Islam has been a pioneer in specifying human rights, safeguarding them, and eventually putting them to practice.
