This book consists of six chapter. Chapter 1 is devoted to the most popular methods of deflection computations. The construction of influence lines of deflections is also included in this chapter. Chapter 2 presents an extensive treatment of the method of consistent deformations. In this chapter, special emphasis is made on the analysis of various types of statically indeterminate strucures under no-load effects. Chapter 3 presents the method of the equation of three moments. This method is mainly applicable to the analysis of continuous beams. Chapter 4 presents the methods of elastic centre and column analogy. Both these methods are applicable to the analysis of special types of statically indeterminate frames. Chapter5 presents the slope - deflection method and chapter 6 presents an intorduction to the moment distibution method. Both these methods are applicable to the analysis of statically indeterminate beams and frames with definite advantage in regard to those of high degree of statical indeterminancy.
