التلاحم والترابط الذي يبلغ أشده في الدفاع عن\nالهوية، فثمة إيحاء معتقدي واجتماعي وسياسي لهذه الشخصية التي اختارها عنواناً\nلروايته وأناط البطولة فيها الى «هلال العبسي» الذي يدخل السجن عقاباً على شجاعته.\nما يميز العمل أنه يسلط الضوء على علاقات انسانية تشكل جزءاً من تاريخ مجتمعات\nالجزيرة العربية والخليج العربي في الماضي والحاضر في حراكه اليومي: إذ تؤرخ\nالرواية لحدث واقعي بأسلوب رمزي يضفي على وروائي من البحرينخريج المعهد العالي للمعلمين بمملكة البحرين في سنة 1970، وقد عمل في سلك التدريس حتى سنة 1975. اعتقل من سنة 1975 إلى 1981 .عمل منذ سنة 1981 في الصحافة الاجتماعية والثـقافية في الصحف البحرينية والخليجية ، ونشر في العديد من الدوريات العربية . عضو اتحاد الكتاب العرب بسوريا. ساهم في مؤتمرات اتحاد الكتاب العرب ، وأول مؤتمر أشترك فيه كان سنة 1975 الذي عقد بالجمهورية الجزائرية وقدم فيه بحثاً عن تطور القصة القصيرة في البحرين ، وشارك في مؤتمر اتحاد الكتاب العرب بتونس سنة 2002 ، ببحث تحت عنوان «التضامن الكفاحي بين المسلمين»، وشارك في مؤتمر بجمهورية مصر العربية سنة 2003 ، وببحث تحت عنوان «المثقف العربي بين الحرية والاستبداد» وذلك باتحاد الكتاب المصريين . والعديد من المؤتمرات الادبية العربية. كتب منذ نهاية الستينيات في عدة أنواع أدبية وفكرية ، خاصة في إنتاج القصة القصيرة والرواية والدراسة الفكرية. منذ سنة 1966، مارس عبدالله خليفة كتابة القصة القصيرة بشكل مكثف وواسع أكثر من بقية الأعمال الأدبية والفكرية التي كان يمازجها مع هذا الإنتاج ، حيث ترابطت لديه الكتابة بشتى أنواعها : مقالة، ودراسة، وقصة، ونقد. ولكن في السنوات الأولى حظيت القصة القصيرة بشكل خاص بهذا النتاج ، وقد نشر عشرات القصص القصيرة في سنوات «1966 – 1975» في المجلات والصحف البحرينية خاصة، ومنذ الثمانينيات من القرن الماضي قام بطبع نتاجه القصصي والروائي والفكري في دور النشر العربية المختلفة ونتاجه الأدبي والفكري. توفى في أكتوبر 2014عن عمر يناهز 66 عاماً بعد صراع مع المرض.","كاتب وروائي من البحرينخريج المعهد
